Priceless Landscape
by George W.
Knox 1998
I glance into a fire
of resplendent eyes,
leading me to a palace
immersed in dreams,
as I sweetly sip
pure ecstasy
of sacred love
you paint my memories
with gentle strokes of affection,
swelling my empty landscape
as we dance in rains
of chilling watercolour.
Your passion of red
drips gleefully across
my sharp blue eyes,
merging into Technicolor thoughts,
exhibiting sweet pictures
in my mind
yet when we part,
the spectre of emptiness
excavates his grave of nothingness
through my heart,
as rains wash away our colours
and transform our masterpiece
to a canvass of white
oh my landscape craves
your colours
Come to me
my beautiful artist,
paint my life again

The Language of Love
by
Clifton Palmer McLendon
How can a man express his thanks
For love beyond compare;
For tenderness unparalleled
That soothes his ev’ry care?
And, given that he finds the words
To say what he would say,
Would they be understood – full-force
–
A thousand miles away?
When those in love meet face-to-face
And wander hand-in-hand,
A special channel opens up
And they can understand.
Their words can never falter, nor
Their diction ever slip,
For when true loves communicate
They do so lip-to-lip!
So while you’re there, and I am here,
I’ll strive with ink and pen
To tell you how, because of you,
I’m blest above all men.
Then, comes that grand and glorious
day
When we walk arm-in-arm,
I’ll tell you “Thanks for ev’rything!”
In Due and Ancient Form!

Gave
Her a Kiss
by Matt Lesny
Her smile
It made my heart sing
Like the sunrise
It was a beautiful thing
her and me
Together, Finally
I took my time
I looked in to her eyes
She began to cry
Then we knew
we weren't meant to be
So I gave her a kiss
She's the one I would miss
And I knew this was
Our final goodbye
So I gave her a kiss

Daydream
Lover
© Sheila Lee
Though just a fantasy
you are still
flesh and blood
seen through
closed eyes
and a warm heart.
Though our
thoughts cross the miles
I can feel your
smooth skin
taste your moist lips
hear your unspoken words.
Though reality is
not fair
and determination
is not enough
we can still savor
each moment
without dwelling
on improbabilities.
Though time is precious
we savor each
sweet moment
till we can meet
one another
in our dreams.

Dream of Me
© Sheila Lee
Dream of me while
I'm away
Remember my soft
lips on yours
The way we melted
together from a single touch.
How can we forget
Eyes that
connected from afar
Silent captivities
of one another's presence.
Smell my presence
even though I'm gone
Taste the power of
our attraction
Do not be sad for
I am here.
Always in my heart
and in my mind
Fear not for we
shall be together
If not today then
surely tomorrow
In your bed, lying
in the silence of another day's end
be assured that I
am there.

Hidden Cravings
© Sheila Lee
Secluded in my
little world,
Choices I do not
wish to make.
I shall go along
with my senses,
I shall go with
this warm feeling.
Trapped by my
hidden desires,
Feeling all my
needs and wants.
Not being able to
hold back
This sudden rush
of ecstasy.
Quench the fire
that's burning,
My soul yearns for fulfillment.
Release me from my torment
Before the walls
come rushing down.
I feel the warmth
of this craving
Tugging at my very being.
How shall I ever
go on
If I cannot meet
this need?
I give in to my desire,
Sweet bliss
overriding all fears.
Content to giving
you my all,
I surrender to
this hidden craving.

New Beginnings
© Sheila Lee
Eye to eye we
begin anew
A start of
something strong and true.
No words have
broken our silent stare
For meetings like
this come oh so rare.
My heart is
beating a silent tune
The first words
spoken are awaiting soon.
Do you share this
feeling I have inside
Or should I keep
it away to safely hide?
This new beginning
I shall always remember
As something
fragile, warm and tender.
Unsure of which
way my heart will fly
Not sure of
whether to flee or try.
You move towards
me, a gentle being
Whose words are
touching and filled with feeling.
One single glance
and knowing smile
I'd know you'd go
that extra mile
To meet with me
some other day
And take my hand
to guide the way.

Without You
© Sheila Lee
Without you
There would be no
sun in the sky
to warm my face in
its glow,
nor would I feel
the cascading shower
as I reach for it
with outstretched arms.
Without you
I would not awaken
to another morning
wrapped in your
warm cocoon,
content and at
peace in the silence,
secure and unaware
of my future.
Without you
Flowers would lose
their colors.
Hours and minutes
intertwine with each other
as I suffocate
with another approaching day
nestled deep
within my very existence.
Without you
Life would surely vanish.
But I have you here,
nothing shall I
ever doubt,
for you are life itself.
